Spotting Sexism application details
August 27th, 2008 in Spotting SexismSpotting Sexism is a four-week online crash course in feminism, and how it applies in our lives. Learn what all the jargon means and many of the key ideas in feminism today.
Dates: 7.30pm-9.30pm on Wednesdays 1, 8, 15 and 22 October 2008. There will also be a feedback session on 29 October.
Cost: £20-£5 per person, on a sliding scale.
Places are limited. Open to all.
To apply, send us an email with your answers to the following questions by Friday 19 September:
- Why would you like to participate in Spotting Sexism?
- What do you think will make you a good participant on the workshop?
- What issues would you like to see covered and why?
In your email, please include responses to the following to help us make sure the workshop reflects a balance of experiences:
- On a scale of 1-4, how knowledgeable about feminism do you feel you are? (1 = just started calling myself a feminist; 4 = could write a short blog post)
- Where are you based geographically?
- How would you describe your gender, ethnicity, sexuality, ability, age, and religion/belief?
- How at ease do you feel with online/e-technologies and what, if any, support would you need to become more comfortable?
